Summary
The 1995–96 Florida Panthers season was the third season of the franchise that was established in 1993. In their third season in the National Hockey League (NHL), the Panthers qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in franchise history, becoming the Eastern Conference champions. They then played in the 1996 Stanley Cup Final, where Florida lost to the Colorado Avalanche in four games. The Panthers would not win another playoff series until the 2021–22 season. This season was tied for their most successful season ever until the 2023–24 season, when the Panthers won the Stanley Cup Final.
